As a foodie, he decided to go visit and taste of “El Autentico 1010” in Mesa, a Fusion restaurant with the flavors of Mexico, Peru and Colombia.

But what is Fusion?  According to the English Dictionary Fusion is: The process or result of joining two or more things together to form a single entity.

Now, that you know what a foodie and fusion are, Jorge went on a trek to “El Autentico 1010” to witness first-hand what his friends have been talking about.

“It’s a restaurant I really had to try,” said Jorge. “My friends have been encouraging me for a long time to taste the fusion from these three countries, all in one place, all in one restaurant”.

The extensive menu of “El Autentico 1010” made it a bit difficult for Jorge to choose, but as a good foodie he picked what looked best to fulfill his appetite.

“I tried to order the typical food from each country; from Peru I was served Anticucho (Beef Heart) and corn, as well as Ceviche de Pescado with onion based curtido on the side and Papa Rellena (Beef). I added the Lomo Saltado with a side of Arroz Blanco”.

“From the Colombian side of the menu, I ordered the Beef Arepa with Chorizo and for drinks I had the Chicha Morada and a Frisco Sour, which both are traditional drinks from Peru”.

“Let me tell you; I just fell in love with food all over again!” screamed the self-called foodie.

“The fusion of the different foods was very noticeable; for instance, the ceviche is very different from what I am used to eating, yet the flavor was spectacular. I did not even have to add hot sauce,” said Jorge.

“All in all it was a great dinning experience; I could not pick a favorite dish, they were all special in their own way.  The fusion of the different flavors has made El Autentico 1010 on of my favorites places to eat.”

“It is a must. ¡lo tienes que visitar!”

For Jorge, besides the experience of visiting and experiencing great dining, El Autentico 1010 will also teach you about Latin American culture, but best of all it will give you the feeling of a home away from home.
