The City of Mesa Has Extended the Closure of their Public Venues Through September 30

In the interest of public health and safety amidst this unprecedented situation, our intermission will be a little longer than we originally anticipated. The City of Mesa has extended the closure of its recreation centers, museums, convention center, Mesa Amphitheatre, libraries and Mesa Arts Center through September 30.

The three organizations of the Mesa Department of Arts & Culture – Arizona Museum of Natural History, i.d.e.a. Museum and Mesa Arts Center – will be closed to the public through September 30 and all programs scheduled between now and then have been cancelled or postponed.

As of today, reopening of Mesa Arts Center is planned for October 1, with new exhibitions in Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, a full line-up of Performing Live events and performances, an adjusted session of fall classes and workshops in the Art Studios, and free programs and offerings for people of all ages. Of course, the reopen date is dependent on the state of the health crisis and its economic impacts. Rest assured we will keep you up to date as plans change.
