PHOENIX RISING SOCCER PLAYERS MAKE SPECIAL APPEARANCE AT FOOD CITY SUPERMARKET

José Aguinaga and Jon Bakero will take photos with fans and sign autographs

This Wednesday, Oct. 23, ahead of playoff game this Saturday

What:​Calling all soccer fans! Phoenix Rising soccer players José Aguinaga and Jon Bakero will make a special appearance at the Food City grocery store at 91st Ave. & Thomas Road in Phoenix this Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

​The mid-fielders will sign autographs and take pictures with soccer fans at the in-store health clinic. Visitors can also enter-to-win a soccer ball autographed by the Phoenix Rising team.

Fun Facts: Phoenix Rising will compete in the playoffs this Saturday, Oct. 26, against Kansas City’s Swope Park Rangers at Casino Arizona field in Scottsdale as part of the USL’s Conference Quarterfinals. Both soccer players were born in Spain; Aguinaga hails fromMadrid while Bakero is from Sitges, a coastal town about 20 miles southwest of Barcelona. In 2017, Bakero won the MAC Hermann Trophy, an annual award given to the top college soccer player in the United States.
